
The Pinc Foundation is based on Ghandi's ideal of "being the change you wish to see." The Foundation strives to support select local and global charities whose primary, but not exclusive, focus is underprivileged children and families. The Pinc Foundation also wants to empower individuals and organizations to 'walk the talk' of social giving and social change. Rather than just speak about making change, The Pinc Foundation intends to help organizations become the change. This innovative site has already been featured in Canadian Business Magazine. As Creator and CEO of Pinc Productions, Beverley Claire Pomeroy, told Canadian Business "PincGiving.com gets people excited about truly supporting their own causes and passions. Giving perpetuates benevolence."
The project began with the Pinc Foundation's desire for an adaptable, online means to support a wide range of charitable causes. Ideally, this online portal would facilitate philanthropic giving, whether to a global foundation, a local community initiative, or a corporate giving campaign. The Pinc Foundation felt that the concept of personal pledge pages could allow groups to raise awareness for charitable causes and raise money in a secure, online, e-commerce format, but they needed a partner that could take their concepts to technical reality.
Always interested in giving back to the community, Thirdi embraced this challenge. Working closely with the Pinc Foundation, Thirdi developed an easy-to-manage solution to meet the needs of diverse charitable ventures. Once again, Thirdi surpassed expectations by envisioning and building an elegant, intelligent, and user-friendly solution.
The resulting site, PincGiving, functions exactly the way the Pinc Foundation hoped. CEO Pomeroy says "PincGiving.com has laid the groundwork for others to act with purpose and give of themselves, to behave with intention and to make a commitment to help their community and support the causes they believe in." The inviting PincGiving site allows communities, charities, organizations and individuals to create a donation campaign with a few simple steps. Thirdi's alliance with Servoweb allowed for the development of a unique backend to the site that supports the online donation process and provides the reporting and transparency required by these groups. From an e-commerce perspective, PincGiving interacts with Raven technology (Pacnet), to immediately process online donations at time of creation. The site also offers the flexibility to process donations in multiple currencies.
Through this endeavour, Thirdi was proud to deliver a practical, manageable, and functional solution to enhance the Pinc Foundation's passion for giving, and ultimately serve the greater good.
